When does the Troop meet?
We meet on Monday nights from 6:30 - 8:00 pm when Denton ISD is in session. The Troop Committee meets the third Thursday of each month.

Where does the Troop meet?
The Troop meets at Blanton Elementary located at 9501 Stacee Ln, Lantana, TX 76226

How often does the Troop camp?
The Troop camps each month at different locations selected by the Boy Scout leadership team.

Does the Troop any attend summer camps?
Each year the Troop attends at least one and sometimes two summer camps selected by the Scouts.

What type of equipment is needed for my Scout?
The Troop provides all the equipment for camping. Scouts only need to purchase a water bottle or canteen, a mess kit, a sleeping bag or sleeping mat, a backpack, and any personal gear.

What is the approximate size of the Troop?
Troop 99 usually has approximately 60 Scouts and 35 registered adults.

What kind of parent involvement is needed?
Troop 99's leadership team encourages parents to get involved with their Scout and the Troop. Experience shows that this makes scouting a much more enjoyable time for both the Scout and the parent.

What are the Troop bylaws?
Troop 99 has a Code of Conduct and Bylaws that each Scout and parent must sign upon joining the troop.

What is Youth Protection Training?
Youth Protection Training (YPT) is an online training coarse administered by the Boy Scouts of America. All registered adults must take YPT every two years in order to participate in our outdoor activities. Troop 99 also encourages adults to take additional training to support the Troop and its programs.

Does your Troop use the patrol method?
Yes, Troop 99 consists of four patrols. Each patrol has their own camping and cooking equipment that they are responsible. Also, each year patrols set their own goals that they expect to complete.

Do you have a Merit Badge Program?
Yes, Troop 99 has many merit badge counselors that are available to assist each Scout with their merit badges.

Do you have a Life to Eagle program?
Yes, Troop 99 does have a program that assists those Scouts who wish to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.
